Honors and Awards Committee

Mission Statement:

To organize and facilitate all awards, the IMATA Judge Team and the Honors and Awards Banquet for the annual conference.

Responsibilities

The Honors & Awards Committee is responsible for several aspects of operation throughout the year, as well as during the annual conference.

Committee responsibilities include:

Designing, ordering, and overseeing all awards (plaques, trophies, certificates, monetary gifts, etc.) to be granted on behalf of IMATA both during the annual conference and throughout the course of the year, as the need arises. Awards are granted to individuals, groups, facilities, causes, and anything else the Board deems suitable.
Recruiting, managing, and maintaining the clandestine judge team for the annual conference.
Participating at mid-year and pre-conference Board and Chair meetings, and offering contributions to the direction IMATA is heading.
Producing a budget for operation.
Producing the PowerPoint presentation, music, and other aspects of the Honors & Awards Banquet, held on the final evening of the annual conference.
Serving as, or nominating, an emcee to host the Honors & Awards Banquet.
Producing a wrap-up article outlining the banquet to appear in Soundings.
Any other activities requested by the Board.

The Honors & Awards Committee is a great way to get involved with IMATA, and a great way to contribute to the direction of the organization.
