Membership DirectoryMission Statement: To ensure the IMATA Membership Directory is organized and updated with the most current membership information and is made available to all IMATA members in a timely manner.
The IMATA Membership Directory is located inside the Member's Area in the IMATA Website. Whereas it was once printed bi-annually, this is now considered a 'live' document, being updated via the Membership Directory Chief Editor and each member's own account page as directed or changed. IMATA members and their employers can be researched in one of three manners: By Facility, By Member Name, and By Species. Searches in these areas may be done by country, by name, by alphabetic grouping, or be seen in an entirety. Facility pages show, grouped by country, the facilities of current IMATA members. If there are no current IMATA members listed for a facility, it will no longer appear in any listing. Facility information includes addresses, contact information, website information, current IMATA members and their titles, and the species of marine mammals housed at the facility. Facilities that have joined IMATA at the Organizational Level are denoted with a small IMATA logo. The Member Name pages show a member's name, e-mail address (if they desire it), and the facility for which they work. These Member pages can be sorted by any of the columns. Lastly the Species pages show marine mammals organized by common name. Only facilities housing these species, which have current IMATA members, are shown, with links to the contact information for each facility. Committee members come from around the globe and are occasionally called upon to research or verify contact information for a facility in their geographical area. Ideas for improvement and changes to a facilities or to a species listing can be made through the Membership Directory Chief Editor at directory@imata.org. If you are interested in more information or getting involved with the Membership Directory please contact Nedra Hecker, Membership Directory Chief Editor at directory@imata.org.
