Dolphin Adventure currently has seven sea lions over 15 years of age, and our goal is proactive prevention of these conditions through the use of shade cloths over our enclosures, organic water filters, and aggressive water-quality monitoring. In addition to these steps, we have also developed a voluntary, blindfolding device that utilizes silicone eye cups and a stretchable fabric to simulate partial or complete vision loss.
