For the first time ever, Lincoln Park Zoo will be hosting IMATA's Midwest Regional Workshop. Join us on 3 May 2019 to get a chance to see some of the marine mammals and birds at the zoo, such as harbor and grey seals, polar bears, and African penguins.

Registrants will spend the day sharing presentations, having open discussions, viewing public training demonstrations and behind-the-scenes tours.                        


Ice Breaker:

Join us for an informal ice breaker on Thursday, 2 May 2019 at the Gaslight from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.



Registration can be completed online at and will be open from 1 February 2019 - 15 April 2019 or until registration is full. Due to space the event will be limited to the first 70 people registered and we will be unable to accept walk-ups. Registration will be $30 for IMATA members and $35 for non-members. Snacks, lunch and parking will be included in the registration cost.

Sign in on 3 May 2019 will be from 7:00 - 8:00 am, with the workshop being 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.


Both Brookfield Zoo and Shedd Aquarium will be offering free admission for any registered attendee on 2 May 2019 and 4 May 2019.


If you are interested in giving a presentation, providing any updates, or leading a discussion, please submit an abstract or description to Jill Dignan, by 1 April 2019. Presentations will be limited to 15 minutes.
