IMATA Regional Workshops

IMATA’s annual conference is supplemented by regional workshops hosted by a facility within a select region designated by IMATA. The workshops are generally held in the fall as a one to two day event allowing maximum attendance of local trainers and interested parties. The format, although left up to the host to design, often mirrors the annual conference yet on a smaller scale. Opportunities to present informational papers, have discussion groups, training Q&A sessions, and facility tours are all examples of popular agenda items. These meetings are encouraged to be informal and low cost.

IMATA is looking for facilities, such as yours, to host regional workshops.  Regional workshops are a key part of our organization; they give individuals a chance to come together from neighboring facilities and share ideas with their peers.

The process of hosting a regional workshop is relatively simple. If interested, please fill out the application form and we will provide you with detailed information to help you host a successful workshop.  All approved IMATA regional workshops are subject to an $1000 USD licensing fee, payable to IMATA.  Thank you again for your support of IMATA in its efforts to continue education and communication through the sharing of information.  Feel free to email the Regional Workshop Committee Chair Shelly Samm, regionalworkshops@imata.org, with any questions.
