Managing Undesirable Behavior During Interaction Programs with Bottlenose Dolphins

Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder (DPMMR) is a marine mammal interaction facility in Key Largo, Florida that cares for seven common bottlenose dolphins and facilitates in-water interactions with the public throughout the day. In this seminar, the DPMMR staff will discuss their approach to preventing and mitigating undesirable behaviors, use of recalls, desensitization, schedules of reinforcement, and other related topics.

Additionally, the seminar will incluce a live poolside broadcast of training sessions and mock interactive programs happening in real time followed by Q&A from viewers.
